Autonomiuc dysreflexia is a complication suffered by spinal cord patients.

A stimulus below the injury level can cause high blood pressure that if not immediately controlled, either by removing the cause of the stimulus or by medication, may lead to stroke or death.

If check of common causes does not lower blood pressure, the following medications are recommended
Follow the examination tree below to eliminate any noxious stimuli below level of injury. A drop in blood pressure will
occur with the removal of the stimuli. Seizures, stroke, or death may occur if stimuli are not immediately removed.
